# cesion_attempt_may_have_registered (/en/docs/errores/cesion_attempt_may_have_registered)

The most recent cesión attempt for this document had already posted a signed step of the AEC chain when it stopped.

| **Type**       | `conflict_error` — State conflict    |

## What to do [#what-to-do]

A cesión is irreversible, and whether that attempt registered one cannot be decided from here — so a second `POST …/cede` for the same factura is refused rather than risking the credit being assigned twice. Check the SII’s Registro de Cesión de Créditos for this folio. Waiting does not clear this (ticket #76).

> **Warning**
>
> Retrying the same request will fail the same way. Change the request, not the frequency.

## The envelope [#the-envelope]

```json
{
  "error": {
    "type": "conflict_error",
    "code": "cesion_attempt_may_have_registered",
    "message": "…",
    "hint": "A cesión is irreversible, and whether that attempt registered one cannot be decided from here — so a second `POST …/cede` for the same factura is refused rather than risking the credit being assigned twice. Check the SII’s Registro de Cesión de Créditos for this folio. Waiting does not clear this (ticket #76).",
    "retriable": false,
    "doc_url": "https://docs.facturia.cl/errors/cesion_attempt_may_have_registered",
    "request_id": "req_01K2R7Q9M4T2VB"
  }
}
```

Program against `code`, never against `message` — the prose can be rewritten, the code cannot (§5.8).

`hint` and `retriable` arrive in the response with these exact values: they are a function of `code` and come from the same dictionary `GET /v1/error_codes` serves, so the envelope and the dictionary cannot disagree. Both are English on the wire by design — one registry, one language. More in [The error envelope](/en/docs/errores).
