# Received documents (/en/docs/recepcion)

Your suppliers' DTEs (*documentos tributarios electrónicos*, Chile's electronic tax documents) arrive
by two routes and land in one place. Facturia gives every empresa a reception address:

```
77928532-4@dte.facturia.cl
```

This is the address you register with the SII (Chile's tax authority) as the empresa's *Mail Contacto
Empresas* — we do it during onboarding. Everything that lands there is parsed, validated,
acknowledged at the technical level (the `RespuestaEnvio` the standard demands) and published.

Separately, we reconcile against the RCV (*registro de compras y ventas*, the SII's purchase and
sales register), so documents issued against your RUT (Chile's taxpayer id) that never reached the
casilla — the mailbox the exchange delivers to — show up anyway.

> **Trap — You have 8 days to claim, and silence accepts**
>
> Chilean law gives the receiver **8 days** — calendar days — to reject a 33/34/43 it has received.
> Silence is acceptance — *aceptación tácita* — and past day 8 the document is irrevocably accepted and
> becomes freely transferable.
>
> That is why `default_if_silent` ships on every object, and why **Facturia never acts for you** unless
> you turn on `auto_accept_received`: doing nothing is a legally loaded decision, and it is the one we
> take by default.
>
> The whole thing is explained in [The 8-day window](/en/docs/recepcion/ventana-8-dias). If you are
> going to read a single page of this documentation, make it that one.

### The `source` field [#the-source-field]

| Value         | Means                                               |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| `intercambio` | It arrived at the `<rut>@dte.facturia.cl` casilla   |
| `rcv` | We found it in the SII's register while reconciling |
| `manual`      | It was uploaded by hand                             |

A document carrying `source: "rcv"` is telling you something: your supplier issued it against your
RUT but never sent it to your casilla. The clock runs all the same.

## The artefacts [#the-artefacts]

```bash
# El XML tal como llegó, con la firma intacta
curl -L https://api.facturia.cl/v1/received_documents/rdoc_01K2R9M3D8V5QW7N/xml \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FACTURIA_KEY" -H "Facturia-Empresa: $EMPRESA" -o proveedor.xml
# El PDF renderizado del documento recibido
curl -L https://api.facturia.cl/v1/received_documents/rdoc_01K2R9M3D8V5QW7N/pdf \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FACTURIA_KEY" -H "Facturia-Empresa: $EMPRESA" -o proveedor.pdf
```

> **The XML is the legal artefact, not our reading of it**
>
> `GET /v1/received_documents/{received_document_id}/xml` returns the bytes exactly as they arrived,
> with the signature intact. Our parse of the document is a convenience; that file is what counts
> before the SII and before a court. `expand=raw_xml` returns the same thing inline.
>
> `expand=raw_xml` is a **single-document** parameter. On the list endpoint it answers
> `400 invalid_field`: inlining a whole signed envelope per row would turn one page of facturas —
> Chile's B2B invoices — into a hundred file reads.

## Events [#events]

| Event                                    | When it fires                                                                |
| ---------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `received_document.created` | A supplier DTE arrived (by intercambio or by reconciliation against the RCV) |
| `received_document.deadline_approaching` | 2 days left of the 8-day window and the state is still `pending`             |
| `received_document.accepted`             | An acceptance was registered                                                 |
| `received_document.rejected`             | A claim was registered                                                       |
| `received_document.receipt_acknowledged` | The goods receipt was granted                                                |
